Lucky fin to the rescue

Nemo’s back and this time, everyone get to Escape to the Big Blue

Lucky fin to the rescue

Whether you thought it a delicate deconstruction of the role of the father in an increasingly feminised environment, or just a darn good laugh, there will be little escape from the demands of small fingers wanting more as the Finding Nemo bandwagon continues to roll on.

The latest reworking of the tale of the little lost clownfish is an exclusively Nintendo affair with Finding Nemo: Escape to the Big Blue coming to both DS and GBA.

You’ll find yourself - Nemo - together with fellow captives Bubbles, Bloat, Peach, Jacque, Deb, Gurgle, Gill, Dory and Marlin back in the dentist’s fishtank. Your mission in this mini-game affair will be to get each fish into the ocean via the garden, across the street, and safely through the docks.

Once you're waterborne there will be plenty of wacky things to point your stylus at (in the DS version at least), including Fish Pong, symbol-matching games, blowing into the microphone missions as well as getting up close and personal with Bruce the shark’s teeth. You can also take a dip with a friend in the two-player mode.

Slowly drifting along in the gulfstream, Finding Nemo: Escape to the Big Blue is due for release on the 17th of March.
