Anki Drive is basically a modern version of Scalextric (or Hot Wheels, if you prefer) and it's now available on Android.

It uses Bluetooth-enabled cars that connect up with your smartphone or tablet, which gives them AI for you to race against. Obviously, you control your car through your smartphone, too.

This also makes it very easy to bring in friends to play with you, so long as they have a smartphone, as all they need to do is connect via Bluetooth.

To be able to play Anki Drive, you will need to purchase a Starter Kit for £149.99 / $199. It's available from retailers in the UK, US, and Canada, with stores stocking them listed here.

This pack comes with two cars, a 3.5 feet x 8.5 feet track, chargers, and a tyre cleaner. You can purchase more cars and track pieces separately.

If you have the cash to splash out on that, you can enjoy the game by downloading the companion app for free on Google Play [download], as well as the App Store [download] now.
