Angry Birds Go! update introduces multiplayer races for those with a Piggy Island Driver's License

Rovio has updated Angry Birds Go! on iOS with the first part of the game's multiplayer mode today. The update will come to Android soon.

There is a catch, however. To race against other people online you'll need to obtain your Piggy Island Driver's License.

Only then can you enter the new quick race mode. Inside, you'll be matched against the performance of up to three other players. You'll compete against their times to see how you fare.

If you don't want to race against random people online then you can connect to Facebook to take on your friends.

The update also adds the "Ultimate Fan" achievement. You are rewarded with this for logging into the game for 30 days in a row.

Rovio says that there will be another update with more multiplayer content on the way soon.

You can download Angry Birds Go! for free on the App Store [download] and Google Play [download] right now.
