Feral Interactive's port of Alien: Isolation is now available for iOS and Android

Following the announcement a month ago, Feral Interactive's port of the acclaimed survival horror game Alien: Isolation is now available for iOS and Android. It promises the same graphical quality as the PC and console version, but with the added bonus of being able to carry it around in your pocket.

With the port, Feral Interactive has included several options for the controls. The touchscreen setup is fully customisable, so you can tweak it to suit your needs. However, if you'd rather play Alien: Isolation with a controller, there's also support for that. You will also find all seven DLC packs included in the price tag, providing the complete survival horror experience in one convenient package.

If you're unfamiliar with Alien: Isolation, it is a survival horror game that first launched in 2014. It received plenty of critical acclaim at the time for its atmosphere and visuals. I personally found the prospect of a Xenomorph sneaking up behind me and screaming in my face more irritating than scary after the initial horror subsided.

The story puts you in the shows of Ellen Ripley's daughter Amanda who heads to Sevastopol station to search for answers about her mother's mysterious disappearance. Naturally, it's not as straightforward as a beautiful reunion. Instead, she'll have to deal with one of sci-fi's most dangerous foes and rogue androids in a desperate bid for survival.

To survive aboard the deadly space station, Amanda will need to sneak around to avoid the Xenomorph and quickly duck into cover whenever the creature spots her. She will also need to scavenge various items to craft useful gadgets and weapons that will prove crucial in helping her leave Sevastopol alive.

Alien: Isolation is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It is a premium title that costs $14.99.
