P-p-pick up Ali The Penguin for your phone
He's a dab hand with a snow cannon, so you wouldn't want to annoy him
Okay, so monkey-based mobile games are so last year. What's the next animal to take the pocket gaming world by storm? Ferrets? Gnus? Penguins?
Slovakian developer Inlogic Software hopes it's the latter. The company has just launched Ali The Penguin, a quirky platform game starring, yes, a penguin called Ali.
Your job is to retrieve a precious penguin relic: the sacred golden egg. It's been captured by some 'malicious beasts', who need to be taught a good Arctic lesson.
Thankfully, Ali has armed himself with a snow cannon, to splat enemies with snowballs. The game has 10 normal levels to play, plus five bonus levels and a pair of mini-games.
Plus, Inlogic has made a bunch of ringtones and wallpapers to tie in with the game that players can download, and the game supports online high-scores.
