AFK Journey to host crossover collaboration with popular series Fairy Tail

AFK Journey has done plenty of things differently from its predecessor AFK Arena, be that going fully 3D, introducing a whole new art style or, in this case, introducing a brand-new collaboration! That's right - AFK Journey is set to introduce its first major collaboration as it crosses over with fan-favourite anime and manga series Fairy Tail, starting May 1st.
Set in the world of Earth-land, Fairy Tail follows the titular guild of mages and their antics. The series mainly focuses on protagonists Lucy Heartfilia and Natsu Dragneel as they join the adventuring group, known both for their bravery in tackling all manner of danger and their habit of causing massive collateral damage in the process. The most curious among you will want to know how well Lucy and Natsu fare when compared to other characters, and they can take a look at the AFK Journey tier list to find out.
Both Lucy and Natsu will join the world of AFK Journey as fully playable dimensional faction heroes, each sporting distinctive abilities that fans of the series will already be familiar with.
The crossover is slated to only be a limited-time release, so if you're interested, you'll want to hop onto AFK Journey pretty sharpish come May 1st. Fairy Tail is certainly an underrated series, so I'm sure that many of you (like me) are excited to see it receiving some attention with this new crossover. Hopefully, it's only the tip of the iceberg for the adventurers we can expect to make an appearance.
If this sets a precedent for future crossovers, I think that many of you will be pleased to see fan-favourite characters rendered in full 3D rather than just flat images as with many others. As for how they actually play? Well, we'll just have to wait and see.
