They say that the only certainties in life are death and taxes, but I propose that the festive family boardgaming session is a close third.

It seems that Connect2Media agrees, as its latest game to carry the 365 license covers seven classic boardgames for you to play (while on the coach back home to a festive family boardgaming session, no doubt.)

The games on offer range from stone-cold classics like chess, backgammon, ludo, checkers (draughts), and reversi, as well as the not-so incredible tic-tac-toe (noughts and crosses) and nine men’s morris.

There are three difficulty levels for each title, faux-wooden backgrounds, and customisable rules – although anyone tampering with chess will no doubt be hunted down by a grandmaster and subjected to some clock-stopping beats, so don’t say we didn’t warn you.

365 Board Games is out now on mobile gaming portals.
