Puzzler works fine on iPad, though

Botched iPhone Zoo Keeper leaves App Store users angry

We reported on Friday that puzzler Zoo Keeper DX Touch Edition had been released on the App Store, but it seems the game’s launch has been accompanied by a major hitch.

The universal app functions perfectly on iPad, but angry iPhone and iPod touch owners have been lining up to slap down one-star reviews for the game, thanks to a fault on the small-screen iOS devices.

As you can see from the picture in our screenshot gallery, the play area has been aligned incorrectly, disappearing off the right of the screen, and meaning that the far-left column of animals is barely visible.

“I cannot imagine how this was not noticed by the developers,” one App Store reviewer comments, quite understandably.

Another user claims to have attempted to email the developer, only to discover that its email address “doesn’t work”.

The iPad game is still functional, but we’d advise iPhone and iPod touch owners to avoid buying the game until a patch is released.
