Ahoy, me hearties! While Zynga be pillagin’ the Facebook straights, Glu be sailing at full mast on the iPhone waters, launching yet another freemium vessel from the App Store harbour today.

Zombie Isle be her name and a fine-looking vessel she be, pitting the two opposing forces of pirates and zombies against each other in a social-focused treasure-hunting game. Arr.

Blazing barnacles, there’s even the opportunity to use these a-cursed zombies as your personal legion of willing shipmates! Up to ten types of the living dead can be lashed into service, digging up chests and manning the cannons should ye be forced to draw your cutlass at sea.

Actually, now I’ve set my good eye on her, she does bear a striking resemblance to Zynga’s own vessel, Treasure Isle.

Never ye mind that though, young squire. Zombie Isle has raised her mast and is about to set sail. You can hop aboard via the App Store plank right now for free, although you’ll be needin’ your Game Center account and iOS 4.1 before ye can be shown to yer quarters. Arr.
