Limbic's Flappy Bird-esque April Fools' joke Zombie Gunship Arcade is a real iOS game now
And it'll be descending onto the App Store this Thursday
We've seen quite a few developers create their own spin on Flappy Bird since Dong Nguyen's infamous game took its last flight earlier in the year.
Limbic was one of them. Well, sort of.
You see, the California-based studio came up with a Flappy Bird spin on its Silver Award-winning Zombie Gunship game for an April Fools' joke. But it was definitely just a joke at the time.
Now, however, Limbic has turned Zombie Gunship Arcade into a full-fledged iOS game. What's more, this ad-supported free game is due to land on the App Store this Thursday.
Following in the flaps of its inspiration, Zombie Gunship Arcade has you tapping the screen to keep your smoking gunship from crashing into the ground.
Each time you tap, though, the ship fires explosive bullets down towards the hordes of zombies. Your score is determined by the number of zombies you kill.
The catch is that there are humans among the zombies. If you shoot a single human, then your gunship will crash immediately.
Zombie Gunship Arcade isn't quite as hard as Flappy Bird, sure, but you'll probably be re-playing Limbic's game just as often. Promise.
