Wingspan's new European Expansion DLC is out now

After a teaser of what’s to come in the award-winning casual card game Wingspan, its European expansion has officially launched on PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. There are more bird species to find, new landscapes and unique strategies to explore, the new DLC has it all and everyone can get their hands on it immediately.

First up, are the new birds that come flying in with this expansion. Players can find birds like the Grey Heron, Snow Bunting, Common Kingfisher, Great Crested Grebe, and lots more flocking together on Wingspan. Each of them also comes with its own distinctive bird calls. These birds will be flying over beautiful English landscapes like a sea of Dutch tulips or the scenic Eastern European blocks.

In addition to this, all the newly introduced birds will have new skills like using end of round powers, taking food from other players, occupying two slots using a single card, and many more. Round goals receive an update with the DLC, with brand new ones being created to make gameplay more varied. Resource usage will have to be planned so that it can be used as an advantage to find novel ways to win.

While more abilities to use and goals to achieve will increase the competition between players, Wingspan’s relaxing music is always there to keep things at bay. The European expansion will feature an original soundtrack composed by Pawl Gorniak, who has drawn inspiration from classical European string instruments which will keep the atmosphere calm while maintaining focus for strategizing.

Do note that purchasing the DLC will not change any features present in the base game and the newer ones will just be added. Cross-platform shall remain alongside the Automated mode for practice. The European Expansion is available to purchase for a premium of $9.99 and Wingspan can be downloaded on the App Store and Google Play for another $9.99.
