Warpath, the popular PvP free-to-play RTS game, launches a brand new collaboration with classic 2D arcade series Metal Slug
The popular PvP-focused RTS game Warpath has begun its latest collaboration, this time with the legendary 2D arcade shoot-em-up series Metal Slug. This crossover brings with it two new characters to collect within Warpath, each a mainstay from Metal Slug, alongside some new missions to tackle, new vehicles, and a new event that can potentially nab you some cash prizes.

Let’s start with the new characters first. Fans of Metal Slug will recognize the names Marco Rossi and Eri Kasamoto, both the male and female protagonists of the Metal Slug series, in their iconic get-ups of the classic red vest and headband combo and the camo green vest with the green bandana. They’re both rocking abilities that are related to their specialities within the games, such as Marco’s massively damaging kit and Eri’s morale-boosting aura abilities.
On top of those two new characters, this collaboration also introduces the new Metal Slug 3 super vehicle, otherwise known as the SV-001. This vehicle is themed after the first boss of Metal Slug 3, and fans of the series will recognize it right away after all the trouble this notoriously challenging foe gave them.
Finally, there’s the ongoing event related to the Metal Slug crossover. This special event will have you choose a team between Marco and Eri and from there fight to increase the total team’s power alongside your teammates by completing various challenges and missions.
