ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is delayed no longer

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove, the fourth game in the well-loved 90s adventure series, was announced quite some time ago before it was met with an unfortunate delay. However, our wait for the game is coming to an end it seems, as Humanature Studios announced today that ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is indeed arriving in this, the year of our lord, 2018.

With the Switch version just about ready to be sent off to Nintendo for certification, the team revealed plans for a closed beta in the coming weeks (they’re thinking July 5 - 19), giving backers a chance to get an early look at the game. Humanature also shared that Adult Swim will no longer be publishing the game to avoid further delays. ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is a sequel to the last adventure in the series, and hopes to go back to the franchises’ roots. The game is staying quite faithful to its original 90s aesthetic and is promising a very funky soundtrack. ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is expected to launch this fall.
