Being a co-op game, communication is key. You and a friend will need a copy of the game and you must communicate by either being in the same room or via phone or chat. Even when together, will still be apart as one player explores the past, while the other, the future. Each of you will solve intricate puzzles in different surroundings, and all of this will lead to the discovery of Albert Vanderboom’s plan.

Rusty Lake is also upping the ante by creating a very unique experience for players by providing a dual perspective, not just in terms of time, but also space. The Past Within’s environments will be in two different dimensions – both 2D and 3D. This new style of perception is a first in the Rusty Lake universe.
