The Library of Babel takes players on a dystopian murder mystery, now available on iOS

Neon Doctrine, a Southeast Asian indie game publisher has just announced that The Library of Babel is now available on the App Store. iOS users can enjoy this sci-fi stealth platformer that takes them on a murder mystery in the dystopian and post-human world of Babylon.

The Library of Babel is heavily inspired by Jorge Luis Borges’ story of the same name. It takes place 20,000 years after mankind’s extinction in a society that is ruled by robots, who barely know anything about their creators. Everything was fine until they stumbled upon the gift of knowledge in the library, which brought about immense chaos.

In the game, players will step into the shoes of Seeker protagonist Ludovik, who has been sent to Mesopotamia in order to investigate a murder. Unfortunately, his search is delayed at an emergency is declared at the colony’s data mining outpost, the site of the crime.

Ludovik must join forces with his contact within the colony, Lei, who will help him put the puzzle pieces together. The duo must put on their thinking caps and find clues that point in the direction of the killer. The murderer’s trail will take them through multiple neighbouring areas that are full of quirky characters.

A dangerous jungle is also part of this perilous journey, which is home to several dangerous inhabitants and mysteries. The Library’s lockdown is no ordinary one as it is guarded by some of the most powerful creatures. Taking them head-on would be foolish and so, Ludovik must use his wits to tackle even the most guarded areas with a stealthy approach.
