Majora's Mask 3D now part of Nintendo's super-cheap Selects games in the US

Also get Star Fox 64 3D and Super Mario Maker on 3DS for next to nothing

Majora's Mask 3D now part of Nintendo's super-cheap Selects games in the US

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is every hipster Nintendo fan's favourite game of the series, so when it landed on 3DS a few years back, everyone went absolutely ape about how good it is. And yes, that includes us giving it a super-rare Platinum award (thanks, YouTube sensation Mark Brown).

But if you've held off on buying it this long, you're in luck - Nintendo has added it to the Nintendo Selects range of 3DS games, meaning you can pick it up directly from the eShop or in physical form for just $19.99. At that price, you really can't complain.

There's more! Also added to the collection is Star Fox 64 3D, a re-release of the N64 classic better known as Lylat Wars in the UK, and Super Mario Maker, which is basically exactly what it says on the tin - you make Mario levels. All three games are now super cheap, and are liable to go even cheaper when a new round of sales kicks in later this year.

Apparently we didn't review Super Mario Maker on 3DS, which is honestly something I'm struggling to believe, but ho hum. From what I've heard, it's not quite as good as the Wii U edition, mainly because you can't share your levels online with anyone - which was basically the main draw of the game.

Star Fox 64 3D, however, I have played, albeit in its original form, and that's a truly brilliant space shooter that everyone should check out, if only to see what everyone's favourite Smash Bros. character was up to on the older generation of consoles. Apparently we didn't review it on PG either? Jeepers. Be glad you've got me now, folks.

One major caveat for our readers here - this is only in the US eShop. Super Mario Maker and Star Fox 64 3D were already in the UK Nintendo Selects collection, and so can be picked up cheap no problem - the UK, however, seems to not be getting a discounted version of Majora's Mask 3D. Which kind of sucks, but hopefully Nintendo will fix this oversight shortly.

If you're in the US though, you can go grab all three games for cheap on the eShop now, or in stores probably from this week onwards. Let us know if you're planning on picking something up!
