The Impossible Game 2, a sequel to the popular runner, is coming to iOS and Android to torture players once again

The Impossible Game was an endless runner that made its way to smartphones over a decade ago. It was known for bringing out the masochist in you with levels that live up to the game’s name. Now, the indie developer Fluke Games have brought back the hardcore gameplay in a sequel. Impossible Game 2 enters early access on Android and iOS starting today.

Its predecessor, The Impossible Game first went viral on the Xbox Live Indie Games platform in 2009 purely based on hardcore action, a thrilling soundtrack, and unforgiving gameplay. The Impossible Game 2 looks to build on all of this and take it to newer heights.

New levels and gameplay

The Impossible Game 2 will feature over 20 new levels with some crazy over-the-top mechanics like jetpacks, guns and portals. Levels will be set on different worlds and each will have its own unique art style and end in a pain-inducing boss battle.

Online battle royale

Quite a norm with the newer games, the endless runner will also feature its own take on the popular genre. The Impossible Game 2’s battle royale will be a 60-player online race and will support cross-platform matches between iOS and Android.

Level Editor

Why should only Fluke Games create taxing levels? With the built-in level editor that has a very fluid interface, players can build levels the way they like using every single in-game mechanic, barring boss battles. These can then be exported and shared online.

But the most important part about the game is that it is absolutely free-to-play, with no ads or pay to win! Something you see a lot of games not following today. If a game is free, usually the mechanics force you to pay to win or else you’re stuck grinding endlessly. It's either that or your screen is plagued with ads. This is where The Impossible Game 2 shines. There is only one optional purchase for a $5 Achievement Pass, which unlocks level-progression rewards like skins, items in the level editor, and a bonus skateboarding level – Cloud 9.
