3GSM 2007: The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift scoops GSMA award

Congratulations to I-play, whose office must be in need of a new trophy cabinet soon.

The company won the Best Made For Mobile Game award at this week's GSM Association Global Mobile Awards in Barcelona, which are described (by their own website) as 'the Oscars of the mobile industry'.

The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift won this year, beating off stiff competition from Glu's Stranded, Infospace's Dirty Sanchez, NINJ's Roger Federer Tennis Open, and KAASA Solution's Anno 1701.

According to the judges, I-play's game "stood out for its universal attraction, intuitive design and sheer 'playability'".

Will I-play make it three in a row next year? We'll have to wait 12 months to find out.
