It’s been a year since Square Enix released The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story on PC, console, and Nintendo Switch. The live-action mystery adventure game has finally made its way to mobile, with releases on both Android and iOS devices. The title sees Haruka Kagami solve the murders within the titular family.

A few members of the Shijima family are dead, all dying under unusual circumstances. As a result, our protagonist, Haruka Kagami has been called to investigate. She wants to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible and will spare no effort until the killer is finally caught.

The Centennial Case takes place all over Japan, bringing real-world destinations to your mobile screens. As live-acted cutscenes play, you must look for hints to help connect the dots and unravel this intricate spiderweb. These cases span the better part of the century and it is up to you to logically prove how it’s all related.

The game features a powerful cast of characters who make the game so much more immersive. Nanami Sakuraba plays the role of the protagonist, Haruki Kagami, while Yuta Hiraoka is Eiji Shijima, the family heir who aids the detective. The characters have been designed to depict their period, further enriching the experience.

Speaking about the mobile port, Producer Junichi Ehara, said: “We are excited to bring our intricately woven story to mobile devices so that more sleuths can unravel the threads which connect 100 years of mysterious murder cases. We hope players enjoy and become engrossed by this truly unique combination of gameplay and live-action storytelling.”
