Gamescom '11: Tekken 3D: Prime Edition announced, features 40+ characters

Tekken fans who weren't sated by last month's Tekken Bowl mini-game might be pleased to hear that the previously announced Tekken 3D has finally been revealed in full - and it looks like a corker.

It's called Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, and the big news is that it's packing a meaty 40+ character roster for you to play around with.

You'll also find a host of 3DS-exclusive new environments to ignore while you're busy pummelling somebody's face in, as well as some carefully crafted remakes of old fan favourites.

Speaking in an interview with NowGamer, the game's director Katsuhiro Harada also reiterated that the bruiser runs at a sprightly 60fps. "In Tekken, we'll keep 60 frames per second, even if you turn 3D on.

"We feel it's a benchmark because not many games can do this."

Even more unusually, the full-length CGI film Tekken: Blood Vengeance will be bundled right onto the cartridge, ready for you to watch in full three-dimensional glory.
