Discover the secret of eternity in Kemco's JRPG prequel Symphony of the Origin

Kemco's JRPG prequel Symphony of the Origin has wended far beyond the city of Google Play and finally ascended the ramparts of the App Store.

In more prosaic terms, the previously Android-only Symphony of the Origin is now available on iOS. There.

Anyway... in Kemco's JRPG, you follow the archetypal story of Ryle, an orphaned warrior who must avenge his murdered parents.

Assisting him with his retribution-seeking duties is Denoas, a forgetful golem tailor-made to bring down the "Evils of the Earth-depths".

Just like its predecessor Symphony of Eternity does, Symphony of the Origin wears its retro heart on its armour-plated sleeve.

This mean you'll be dealing with classic RPG staples like turn-based combat, scrolling text boxes, and more melodrama than you can shake your trembling, vengeful fist at.

Kemco's latest game does contain a few innovations, though. For example, enemies can lose their armour through excessive damage. This not only alters their appearance, but also has an impact on their stats.

The first Symphony title was good, solid RPG fare. If you're in the mood for another dose of JRPG action, you can pick up Symphony of the Origin on iOS for the reduced price of £2.49 / $3.99 (down from an eye-watering £7.49 / $10.99).
