Swap-Swap Panda is one of the more unique games you'll play on mobile. This is because it has a two-player element that is played in a single-player style. There's a lot of back and forth involved in the gameplay, so it definitely makes you think a bit.

Our story is about two adorable pandas, one being a regular, and the other being a red panda (now you understand the name of the game, right?). The two pandas are enjoying a picnic in the forest with a single cupcake and the mischievous samurai-like creatures called "minions" steal it.

This is where our adventure begins. The two pandas want their revenge and go on a journey through various levels in Japan to do so. In this article, we'll tell you about some things you should know about this tag team type of platformer.

You'll Be Switching...A Lot

This is essentially the juice of Swap-Swap Panda. The game has a bit of an Unravel 2 or The Way Out feel to it in terms of gameplay concept. The way it's played, you'd think it's a multiplayer game but you'll be playing solo on your adventure across Japan

But each panda has its own skills and abilities so this means you'll be swapping quite a bit. Your goal is to get to the finish line at the end of the level, and there are obstacles you need to overcome. Utilize each character's abilities to make things work.

For example, switch to the regular panda if you want to take out enemies while the red panda can climb ladders among other things. So you can definitely see that there is a heavy puzzle element to this platformer so it's pretty unique in that regard.

Cool Level Design

The style of Swap-Swap Panda has an old school aesthetic to it, which is something you'll see in a lot of modern games today. It's a style that has made a sweet comeback on mobile, console, and PC. But the art in this game is pretty cool because of the Japanese design.

Each level will have some unique silhouette of Japanese architecture in the background. It really helps add to the vibe of the game overall. On top of this, you some fun Japanese music in the background playing as you traverse each level in the game.

It may not seem like much, but the colors and pixelated art combined with the music make it a pretty slightly more immersive little arcade experience.

Plenty of Levels

When hopping into Swap-Swap Panda, you'll come to realize that there are plenty of levels to play through so you won't be bored easily. You'll also never know what each level will feature. It could have several enemies or none at all. Or, there could be special items.

You'll see that as you advance, you will discover new abilities. Just remember that each panda has its own skills, so make sure you swap to the correct one. It's nice little touch when you realize that some new skills will be added over time.

Also, the levels vary, so there's a nice pace to it that doesn't feel overly repetitive. It's just a nice game to play that has a simplicity to it while also bringing in some puzzle-like elements that make you think a little bit.
