Superhot is getting too cool new additions this year. Free DLC, which is fine, if you're that way inclined. For our purposes though, the second is more exciting - a VR version, exclusive to the Oculus Rift.

The VR release is planned for later in the year and chances are it'll launch with the Oculus Touch controls, because it'll be making use of the motion controllers, with motion being key to the game's mechanics, as in the 2D version.

"Actually moving your hands or head moves time in real time," said Szymon Krukowsi, Superhot's PR dude, on Reddit. "So you really NEED to stand still while playing to keep the time still."

This quote tells me two things. One, that it's really time Superhot took steps to differentiate their studio name from their game name, it's getting confusing. Secondly, that you're going to need to be a Tetragrammaton Cleric to play Superhot successfully in VR.

To aid you in your task, Krukowski says the team have been playing around with "We played around with holophonics type of sounds in SUPERHOT. Thanks to that you will be able to for example 'locate' a passing bullet just by the noise it creates."
What do you think, does that sound like fun to you?
