Sword & Sworcery confirmed for iPad, to be released in August

Remember the exceptionally gorgeous pixel-art fantasy romp, Sword and Sworcery? It's that lovely team up of creative game maker Capybara Games, the developer behind Critter Crunch, artist SuperBrothers, and music man Jim Guthrie.

And now, it's coming to the iPad, Touch Arcade confirms. In some super long videos, the team at Capybara walks us through the game showing off the cast of characters, the controls, and and the game's simulated lunar cycle, where the world changes as the moon whizzes past.

It's a point-and-click adventure, mixed with some classic RPG battling, complete with Punch-Out!! styled weak spots and reaction times.

We also get a hint at the enigmatic alternative quest 'side B', which apparently will change the game, but in a more auditory way than you might imagine. The music-focussed game does a sport the term 'EP' in its title, after all.

The game is planned for an August release, seeing as the adventure is nearing content completion and the team just wants a few months of meticulous polishing to make it look spectacular.

It's also coming out on iPhone, if you like your pixels in pocket size.
