Patch on the way to solve control issues

Rejoice! Super Monkey Ball for iPhone to get easier

As we noted in our review of iPhone Super Monkey Ball, it's pretty tough thanks to an "immensely sensitive control scheme".

Super Monkey Ball has sold more than 300,000 copies, but we reckon a decent percentage of those people are spending their time zooming off the edges of levels while swearing profusely.

But perhaps not for too much longer. A report on MTV Multiplayer claims that Sega is working on a patch that will make the controls a bit easier to get to grips with.

"The patch should (at least) introduce the ability to tweak the 'dead zone' in Super Monkey Ball. The dead zone is the orientation at which you could hold the iPhone to stop moving."
There's no firm release date for the update, but naturally we'll keep you posted. Click 'Track It!' to stay on the ball.
