Super Digital Watch Soccer is a part-Street Fighter, part-stopwatch-tapping football game for Android
Ball watching

There's nothing like a weird mashing together of games and ideas to set your weekend off with a bang.
And that's exactly what Super Digital Watch Soccer for Android is.
It's a blend of Street Fighter, football, and that game you used to play when you were a kid where you tried to stop a digital stopwatch when the milliseconds were on '00'.
Half-timeYou choose a player, then face off either against AI-controlled opponents or a friend who likes tapping things and kicking balls as much as you do.
A digital watch sits in the centre of the screen - you have to stop it by tapping the screen when a hovering finger is in the green section of a bar.
Depending on the millisecond reading when you stop the finger, you'll end up with one of a variety of results.

More often than not to begin with, you'll loop a pass to the opposing team. You might, however, score a spectacular goal, get your leg broken by a terrible tackle, or somehow manage to get yourself sent off.
A second bar at the bottom of the screen lets you set off your special move, but it takes spectacular timing to hit it just right every time.
The outcome of your tap is shown off via cartoony 2D graphics, with muscular-chested be-mulleted football heroes lamping balls left, right, and centre as you vie for chronological perfection.
Full-timeSuper Digital Watch Soccer may not be the most in-depth game on the Google Play Store, sure, but it's free (and the ads aren't that intrusive).
Plus, you can play it with a friend in the same room, and maybe push her over if you want to cheat.
Super Digital Watch Soccer is available on Google Play right now, and it's probably worth a quick go.
