Cobra Mobile (iBomber, Low Grav Racer) has revealed to Pocket Gamer that it expects it’s next title, Storm in a Teacup, to be landing on the App Store on May 19th.

Storm in a Teacup is a classically styled platform game featuring a man named Storm who - you know where this is going - sits in a teacup.

Head-slappingly bad premise aside, Storm... does have a few interesting tricks up its sleeve which we noted this week during a quick hands-on at Chillingo’s preview event.

For one, your teacup-bound hero doesn’t jump in the normal sense, but relies on swift taps to boost him up into the sky.

You can be lazy and just hold down the button, but you won’t get quite so high up before plummeting back to earth.

There’s also a good number of physics-related puzzling to work through, with each level’s obstacles reacting realistically to gravity.

There are 40 levels in total with a ton of badges to collect in each (including the genre-standard hidden stars), and a stonkingly hard Survival mode to cope with, so the game should prove to be fairly lengthy.

Storm in a Teacup will be out on May 19th as a universal build for iPhone and iPad, and will cost 59p / 99c / €0.79.
