State of Survival is kicking off the Path of Winter: The Summit tournament next month
FunPlus has just announced a new tournament called Path of Water: The Summit for their zombie survival strategy game, State of Survival. This is the second such contest after April’s Reservoir Raid: Doomsday Open and will run between September 5th and 17th. Participants will join in teams of five to eight members who’ll fight other groups for several prizes.
Registrations for State of Survival’s Path of Water: The Summit tournament is still a few days away, giving players ample time to form their teams. Once that’s done, enrolment will be available from August 28th, all the way up to September 4th.
The tournament is divided into three phases, each ending with a bunch of squads getting eliminated. Round one sees top-ranking teams take part in qualifiers, with victors moving further to phase two. Here, two pairs of qualified teams will be pitted against each other in a best-out-of-three format. This continues until 16 squads remain.
Subsequently, the top 16 teams will move on to the third and final phase of the contest – the grand finale. It’s a fight to the death as all the remaining squads will engage in heated battles with each other until one team remains – the winners of the Path of Water: The Summit tournament.
While all participants are eligible to win a tonne of rewards just for playing these matches, reaching the finals is a whole other achievement. Moreover, the top three teams in each state will be the first to have their names engraved into State of Survial’s elusive Hall of Fame.
