Starborne: Frontiers releases The Abyss in latest expansion
Solid Clouds has just released a new expansion for the gacha strategy game, Starborne: Frontiers. Titled The Abyss, this massive content update features a brand new world that is itching to be explored. Players will find themselves in the midst of challenging boss fights, tricky quests, and decisions that will have long-lasting consequences on their gameplay experience.
Not much is known about The Abyss in Starborne: Frontiers. Its origins and true nature still remain a topic of debate. What we definitely know is that it's full of valuable loot, which attracts commanders from all over the galaxy. The Abyss primarily contains Clusters that are full of some of the rarest resources in the universe. This region has quickly become ground zero for anyone trying to increase their power.
Of course, that is not how it always was as the region was once a ‘colossal, unyielding blockade’. Once it fell, the Abyss was accessible again and that’s when the Spiral Expanse realised what was going on. The harvesters had set up these Clusters, which linked The Abyss to resource-rich locations all over the galaxy. Once players step into this place, they will be introduced to a wide, ever-expanding game mode.
Gameplay-wise, The Abyss is a tower-style mode with a slight twist as players will traverse a dynamic map rather than a fixed one. As players progress through the region, they will encounter Clusters and Nodes, where they can find exclusive loot, trade with merchants, engage in combat scenarios, or hop into a risky wormhole for further exploration.

Each season will change the layout of the map, and for every five depths, the affinity will be modulated.
