Squids Wild West, The Game Bakers's follow-up to 2011's Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning tactical flick-'em-up Squids, has just passed Apple's infamous approval process and is ready to float onto the App Store on June 27th.

Much like in its predecessor, Squids Wild West sees you take control of a group of stretchy creatures as they attempt to rid their underwater kingdom of a destructive black ooze.

This time around, though, you'll find yourself helping Calamary Jane save a besieged frontier town, exploring a volatile mine and other wet locations, and starting to understand the evil that you're facing.

Squids Wild West will swim into Apple's App Store as a Universal application, which will normally set you back £1.49 / $1.99. However, for a while, it'll be available to download at the special launch price of 69p / 99c.
