Danish developer Kiloo is about to follow up its monster hit Subway Surfers (175 million downloads and counting), with a pseudo-fighting game about foxes, gorillas, and tigers.

Smash Champs - out now in New Zealand, and going global at midnight tonight - has you training your beast in a Fruit Ninja-style mini game before sending them off into a fight.

But if you're expecting Street Fighter with pigs and jaguars, you're going to be disappointed. The fight scenes are largely automated, and you just sit back and watch the action play out. No combos or counters here, I'm afraid.

Still, it looks rather posh. Will it reach the same stratospheric success as Kiloo's last game? We'll have to wait and see. Get it here on iOS, and we'll let you know when the promised Android edition hits.
