World War I air combat simulation Sky Gamblers: Rise of Glory swooping onto iPhone and iPad on September 22nd

We already knew that Namco Bandai's World War I aerial combat simulator Sky Gamblers: Rise of Glory was hitting the App Store some time this month, but we now know that it will touch down on Apple's tarmac on September 22nd.

Taking to the skies in one of ten authentic WWI fighters, you'll be tasked with destroying targets and collecting reconnaissance over 12 single-player missions.

You'll also have the ability to strap on your 'Wings' and dive into 100 Dogfight missions, and create your own custom game.

Take a gamble

Real-time multiplayer will allow you to tackle Team Death Match, Defend the Base, Capture the Flag, and Free-for-All modes against seven other wannabe pilots.

Game Center will keep track of your progress and reward your skills accordingly.

Sky Gamblers: Rise of Glory will land in Apple's airfield on September 22nd as a Universal app for £2.99 / $4.99. A free Lite version will also be available.
