Today we will cover Peacock, a Skullgirls character that closely resembles old-school Disney characters, complete with the signature "gloves" and complementary attire. As a character, Peacock is a team-oriented unit that can provide useful buffs for all the allies and increase the effectiveness of their skills. Her kit is not as heavily reliant on melee attacks but rather ranged ones and mid-ranged ones, thus explaining why her attack is so high, but overall health is rather low. 

Skullgirls Peacock Overview

Peacock is, as we mentioned, a "support" unit that can also pack a punch. Her skills provide all sorts of useful team effects, making her a great addition to any team comp where you already have a reliable DPS and another unit that could provide some constant crowd control.

Unlike other characters in Skullgirls, Peacock will almost never be your team's Leader, but rather a character you use to tag in for the buffs, or for some additional damage (situationally). Many of the Peacock types have an Armor Break effect, which can be extremely useful against some enemies. She can also be a decent damage dealer in the absence of another, more powerful one, but because of her generally low HP, she tends to be a lot squishier too.

Playstyle

When you're playing as Peacock, you want to be the unit that you swap to in order to benefit from the buffs. Do this mainly against shorter-ranged enemies, and also try to use the Swipe Up ability to knock them into the air. Dashing toward the opponents can also be a good start to any of her combos since most enemies will expect you to keep a distance before using any of her abilities. 

The best combos for Skullgirls Peacock 

  • Swipe towards the opponent -> Attack -> Swipe up -> Tap the screen while the enemy is airborne for the aerial attack -> Ability (Impending Doom -> Argus Agony).
  • Ability (The Hole Idea) -> Ability (Bang Bang Bang)
  • Ability (The Hole Idea) -> Dash twice towards the enemy.
  • Dash towards the enemy twice -> Swipe up -> Ability (Impending Doom) -> Dash twice -> Ability (Argus Agony).

Rerun Peacock

Element: Fire
Rarity: Bronze

Signature Ability: Ensemble Cast

  • All teammates tag in with Enrage for 10 seconds
  • Cooldown for tag ins is reduced by 25% for all teammates.

Marquee Ability: Toon Time

  • Special Feature - When Peacock uses a Special Move, there is a 10% chance that the cooldown will immediately reset.
  • Cast Party - When Peacock or any teammate uses a tag in, there is a 30% chance that the attack will be unblockable.

Sketchy Peacock

Rarity: Bronze

Signature Ability: Running Gag

  • While Peacock is alive, all teammates tag in with haste and immunity for 5 seconds (except after teammate's death).
  • While Peacock is alive, all opponents tag in with slow and curse for 5 seconds (except after teammate death).

  • Special Feature - When Peacock uses a Special Move, there is a 10% chance that the cooldown will immediately reset.
  • Cast Party - When Peacock or any teammate uses a tag in, there is a 30% chance that the attack will be unblockable.

Prism Plumage Peacock

Element: Neutral
Rarity: Silver

Signature Ability: Broad Spectrum

  • While Peacock is alive, all teammates tag in with 2 buffs based on their elements for 5 seconds (except after teammate death).
  • Projectiles have a 10% chance to inflict debuffs based on the opponent's element for 5 seconds.

  • Special Feature - When Peacock uses a Special Move, there is a 10% chance that the cooldown will immediately reset.
  • Cast Party - When Peacock or any teammate uses a tag in, there is a 30% chance that the attack will be unblockable.

Signature Ability: Killing Joke

  • Inflict a random debuff for 3 seconds when using a special move.
  • If the opponent is suffering a debuff when Peacock is defeated, the opponent's health is reduced by 25%.

  • Projectiles deal 15% bonus damage for all teammates.

Signature Ability: Ganging Up

  • Deal 15% bonus damage for each living teammate.
  • Special Moves have a 15% chance to be unblockable while Peacock has living teammates.

Signature Ability: Holiday Jeers

  • Gain Enrage for 10 seconds for every buff gained by the opponent.
  • Projectiles have a 25% chance on hit to convert 1 opponent buff into a random debuff.

  • Special Feature - When Peacock uses a Special Move, there is a 10% chance that the cooldown will immediately reset.
  • Cast Party - When Peacock or any teammate uses a tag in, there is a 30% chance that the attack will be unblockable.

  • 5% chance when hit to avoid all damage (also applies while blocking).
  • Also gain Unflinching for 4 seconds.

Signature Ability: Slapstick

  • 15% chance when hit to inflict Armor Break for 10 seconds and grant 3 stacks of Precision and 1 stack of Evasion.
  • While Peacock is alive, opponents have 50% reduced Crit Rate.

Marquee Ability: Toon Time

  • Special Feature - When Peacock uses a Special Move, there is a 10% chance that the cooldown will immediately reset.
  • Cast Party - When Peacock or any teammate uses a tag in, there is a 30% chance that the attack will be unblockable.

Signature Ability: Death Throw

  • Projectiles have a 25% chance to ignore the opponent's Defense and Armor.
  • Projectiles inflict 25% bonus damage against opponents with Unflinching or Armor.

  • Special Feature - When Peacock uses a Special Move, there is a 10% chance that the cooldown will immediately reset.
  • Cast Party - When Peacock or any teammate uses a tag in, there is a 30% chance that the attack will be unblockable.

Freeze Frame Peacock

Element: Water
Rarity: Diamond

Signature Ability: Frostbite

  • Projectiles have a 25% chance on hit to inflict Slow and Wither for 15 seconds. Both effects are removed if the opponent uses a Blockbuster.
  • When Slow or Wither expires, the opponent suffers damage equal to 25% of Peacock's Attack and is Stunned for 3 seconds.

Dream Catcher Peacock

Element: Light
Rarity: Diamond

Signature Ability: The Big Sleep

  • Special Moves and tag ins have a 25% chance on hit to Stun the opponent for 4 seconds (does not affect Dark Fighters).
  • Every 3 seconds while facing a Stunned opponent, Peacock gains 1 stack of Precision, and her teammates gain 5% Blockbuster Meter, and 5% health.
