Skies of Glory soars out onto iPhone

About a month ago, we heard that developer of the mega-hit F.A.S.T., SGN, was preparing a new flight combat game, only this time for free.

Skies of Glory just went live over on the App Store, and promises a high-octane trip into the blue, World War II style. This 'freemium' game allows for eight player multiplayer over wi-fi and 3G online, and one-on-one Bluetooth dogfighting.

Realistic weather conditions and impressive 3D visuals bring the aerial combat, bombing runs and surface attack missions to life, while the in-app purchase system allows you to buy more planes to give you that competitive edge.

Although I'm loath to resort to clichés, in this case I think you'll agree it fits perfectly. Chocks away, chaps!

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
