Despite King being rather quiet at late, they've definitely not been sleeping. No, instead it's been stepping foot in uncharted territory as it launches its newest game, Shuffle Cats, today on iOS and Android.

Where we're usually matching different forms of sweets and flowers, Shuffle Cats is King's first multiplayer card game. Set in the 1920s across the rooftops of London, the game introduces you to a bounty of competitive street cats trying to win their way to the best Card Clubs in town and progress along Lucky Lane.

With worldwide reach, you'll be able to play others from across the globe in synchronous gameplay. If it looks a little familiar to you, that's because it's a bit of an updated version of the traditional card game, Rummy. After being dealt seven cards each, you'll create as many 'Melds' as possible on the game board. The first one to 10 points wins.

This is brilliant news for King. As the majority of their games are very much solitary affairs, Shuffle Cats offers up a fun experience without having to go at it alone.

Grab the game free-to-play from the App Store or on Google Play.
