Shovel Knight's King of Cards and Showdown expansions arrive next spring

Shovel Knight’s King of Cards and Showdown expansions will be arriving this coming weekend, Yacht Club Games announced today. The two expansions are arriving on the same day to make way for the physical release of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, a complete bundle featuring Shovel Knight and its various expansions for Nintendo Switch. Spring will be quite the month for Shovel Knight fans.

The Treasure Trove bundle will be available both physically and digitally, and all future expansions and DLC will be free of charge. If you’re not interesting in the package deal, you can buy King of Cards or Showdown separately. The King of Cards expansion, which was just announced a few days ago, is a story campaign that introduces four new world and 30 courses. You’ll embark on a quest to defeat the “Three Kings” to find riches and fame. Meanwhile, Showdown is all about friendly competition, allowing you to duel with friends using your favorite Shovel Knight characters.

King of Cards, Showdown, and Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove arrive on April 9.
