Shovel Knight digs its way out from delays, should surface soon
What lies beneath?

There's good news ahead for Shovel Knight fans.
Developer Yacht Club Games took to Twitter to announce that it finally has a release candidate version of the game.
This news comes a few weeks after Yacht Club announced a delay to Shovel Knight's release to "make sure it's a world class experience".
While we don't have a firm release date for Shovel Knight just yet, the Tweet below sounds quite promising and has gotten us excited at the prospect of seeing this game all over again.
It's done! Yacht Club Games is happy to announce that we have a final submission candidate for Shovel Knight.

Shovel Knight caught our over a year ago, when it first took to Kickstarter with its retro-style graphics.
Looking to deliver a gameplay experience similar to Mega Man and Castlevania, we became very interested in seeing it reach its funding goals.
As it turns out, we weren't the only ones.
Shovel Knight's 14,749 backers raised over $300,000 for its development - shooting it clear past its original $75,000 funding goal.
With any luck, these backers - and others interested in seeing Shovel Knight - won't have to wait much longer for a release.
We've reached out to Yacht Club Games to see if we can receive a release date or release window for the 3DS version and we'll update this story when we hear back.
