Rubik's Cube twisted into a new mobile game

Classic puzzle reconfigures itself as an upside-down Tetris

Rubik's Cube twisted into a new mobile game

The only way we could ever solve the Rubik's Cube in the real world was by taking it completely apart, and then sticking it back together with the colours in the right place. Which was hardly the point, but would surely win us points for lateral thinking.

Thankfully, it won't be necessary in this new game from Living Mobile. Although based on the Rubik's Cube, it's not the actual cube-fiddling mechanic, in much the same way that Lego Bricks on mobile didn't involve building a petrol station or moonbase.

Actually Lego Bricks is a good comparison for Rubik's Bloxx Twister, seeing as both games seem indebted to Tetris.

However, the twist with this game is that the blocks come up from below, rather than falling from the top of the screen. You have to match blocks of the same colour, which then disappear, and there are bombs to help clear them out too.

The game is out now, so watch this space for our review.
