Wii and DS puzzler Rooms: The Main Building comes to iPad

Rooms: The Main Building, an innovative puzzle game that won 2007’s IGF Studio Award and hit Nintendo Wii and DS in 2010, is now available to download on iPad.

The game is like a slide puzzle, as you swap and scramble a jumble of rooms in a mansion, to help hero Chris pick up shiny gold puzzle pieces and escape the building. You’ll need to juggle keys, locked doors, ladders and other obstacles to keep Chris safe.

Rooms comes packed with 80 stages, and you can go back and complete time attacks and challenges on those levels once you’ve finished the game. Bonus challenges net you trophies, which you can proudly display on your Game Center account.

If you want to get a hands-on taste of the game, Nintendo released a flash demo to show you exactly how the smart puzzler works, back when the game hit DS. Try it yourself, here.

Rooms: The Main Building is out now on iPad, and costs £3.49 / $5.99 / €4.99.
