Next week, Chillingo will launch handsome new one-touch platformer Rock Runners, which might even give Rayman Jungle Run a - ahem - run for its money.

Rock Runners is an arcade auto-runner with the speed dial turned up to 11. You'll jump, bounce, and swing through off-world mining colonies, while avoiding enemies and scooping up stars.

As you charge through the stages - zipping between portals and swinging over vats of toxic waste - you'll unlock upgrades and new playable characters.

But, like in Rayman Jungle Run, the real thrill will come from acing that perfect run.

Chillingo says, "You'll need to use all your judgement, timing, and quick thinking to get three stars on every stage."

Rock Runners

Rock Runners is being developed by Recoil Games, the talented Finnish studio behind barmy gravity-flip puzzler-platformer Rochard (which is heading to Project Shield, incidentally).

Rock Runners will race onto iPhone and iPad next week - on February 14th, to be precise. It will cost 69p / 99c.

I don't know about you, but this one just shot to the top of my 'Most Wanted' list.
