Crytek has taken to the stage to reveal the follow up to their VR Dinosaur Island tech demos - Robinson: The Journey.

Crytek co-founder, President and CEO Cevat Yerli announced the game for the PlayStation VR during a segment of Sony's press conference dedicated to the forthcoming headset.

The press release says that Robinson: The Journey will "invite players to become pioneers after they crash-land on a mysterious planet" but from the look of the announcement trailer linked below, this means the character will be dodging dinosaurs with the aid of Dinklebot - some other floating robofriend.

Crytek was shopping the game around on an Oculus Rift during E3 back in June, but this is the first time there's been mention of it on the PlayStation VR platform. Crytek are usually pushing the boundaries of PC hardware so it'll be interesting to see what they can squeeze out of the PS4.

There's no release info for Robinson just yet, only the pretty trailer below.
