Intriguing retro-styled phone aping adventure Replica is out right now on the App Store. The game has already garnered a decent amount of attention, winning a number of awards since its release on PC.
You play the adventure through a digital version of a phone, using real world knowledge to try and get to the bottom of a plot to destroy the country. Of course there’s more to it than that, but telling you about it would spoil things.
This is a clever use of modern technology to tell a story that probably wouldn’t have worked ten years ago. And it looks amazing. Pixel iPhones will always have a special place in my heart.
