Railroad Ink Challenge is a digital adaptation of the board game that's heading for mobile this summer

Railroad Ink Challenge is an upcoming roll and write game by Italy based developer Hjalmar Hach & Lorenzo Silva. The game is set to release sometime in summer 2021. It's an adaptation of the board game of the same name.

The game is about building connections with multiple in-game elements. It starts with rolling dice and connecting the exit points on the board. As mentioned above, the main aim is to create connections, so each roll of the dice will allow you to move from one point to another.

Expand your network with the help of railways, highways and stations and collect points in the meantime. It might sound easy, but the game ensures that you get a tricky and challenging experience as it penalizes you for leaving an open connection. We took a look at the game during one of our streams in LaunchPad #4, which you can check out below.

Players rapidly connecting the points must carefully look for any open connection left behind. If you manage to connect to a special structure, you can enjoy a special effect after doing so.

If you wish to duplicate a route then you can connect or build Factories to expand your network. On the other hand, extra bonus points can be earned by building Stations next to Villages, and extra special routes with Universities.

To make the game more interesting, the developers have featured various time-limited in-game goals. These goals must be completed before the expiry time to acquire bonus points. Basically, the game wants you to show up your networking skills to win the rounds.

If you are looking for a Watercolor-style artwork title with Network planning gameplay and 100% asynchronous multiplayer challenges with a chance of featuring your name on the online leaderboards, then you will want to check out Railroad Ink when it launches this summer.
