Have giant sword, will travel - Ragnarok Odyssey Ace coming to Europe next week

PS Vita owners in Europe who enjoy hunting down giant monsters with improbably large weapons are in for some good news.

The Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning action RPG Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will slice its way across the pond on Wednesday, April 30.

That's the good news. The potentially bad news here is that GungHo has confirmed to Joystiq that Ace will a download-only title on the PSN which means - if the US download is anything to go by - you'll need to free up about 2.2GB on your memory cards if you want to dive into it.

And if you're a fan of Monster Hunter games, you definitely will.

In our review of Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, we praised it for its "refreshing" straightforward gameplay, exciting combat system, sharp graphics, excellent music, and crisp cross-platform play.

While Ace seemed a bit hollow at points - and definitely could have benefited from a fleshed out story - the introduction of new AI companions and a wealth of new content to explore made this one an easy game to sink a ton of hours into.

There's no word yet on how the European version of Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will handle the robust DLC schedule currently in place for North America - but we're sure that'll surface in short order.
