RBI Baseball 14 will bring you all 30 MLB teams, no IAPs when it launches this spring

Spring is almost here, which means the release of RBI Baseball 14 is just around the corner.

When we first heard about this title back in January, we didn't know quite what to expect - but now MLBAM has assuaged a great many fears by releasing some new screenshots and details of the baseball sim.

First off, it'll be a paid download with no microtransactions.

Secondly, it's described as a 're-imagined' version of the iconic RBI Baseball brand with modern graphics - and it has 480 active players for you to manage.

No place like home

Each players has unique characteristics and skill attributes which are built from MLBAM's statistical database (which it assures us is "extensive"), and factors in hundreds of millions of data points collected over a season.

But this doesn't mean RBI Baseball 14 will be a number grind for stats nerds - in fact, it appears to be quite casual friendly.

Maintaining the classic controls of the original, RBI Baseball 14 features a simplified "two button" gameplay system and a full, nine-inning game should be playable in 20 minutes or less.

RBI Baseball 14 also offers three modes for players to dig into - Season, Postseason, and Exhibition - and even offers some nifty unlockables like retro jerseys that you can earn by completing custom team challenges.

We don't know the specific price or release date of RBI Baseball 14 just yet, but we'll keep you updated as soon as we known more.

RBI Baseball 14 is launching for iPhone, iPad, and Android (phones / tablets), alongside the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.
