It emerged yesterday that Sony may be about to relaunch the PSPgo with the help of a price drop. While today's news doesn't necessarily bear on Sony's troubled UMDless console, it's a sign that the company is doing all it can to compete in the snackable games market.

From tomorrow, several PSP Minis - which you can download onto the PSPgo, the PSP, and the PS3 - are going to be on sale.

The full list is below. Also included are the games' prices on the App Store. The comparison won't be entirely fair in all cases, as the two platforms offer different experiences, but it may give some clue as to why Sony is struggling to compete with Apple.

While games at £1.50 and over are more or less comparably priced, even on sale the cheapest Minis are considerably more expensive than the cheapest App Store games.

The average Minis price based on the these offers is £2.37, compared to £1.87 on iPhone.
