Pokémon Go will welcome three forms of Tatsugiri in the upcoming Water Festival
  • The event takes place on July 15th to 20th
  • Three forms of Tatsugiri will appear based on region
  • Other water-type Pokémon will also show up frequently

If you're looking to beat the summer heat, Pokémon Go has the perfect excuse to cool down with a splash. The Water Festival returns from July 15th to 20th, bringing a tide of aquatic encounters, raid battles, and the debut of Tatsugiri in three regional forms. Whether you're in Europe, the Americas, or Asia-Pacific, one form of the mimicry Pokémon will be appearing near you for the first time.

Curly, Droopy, and Stretchy Forms of Tatsugiri will each take over local raids in Pokémon Go depending on your region. Alongside them, scarf-wearing Lapras makes another stylish comeback, with a chance for a seasonal special background if you’re lucky. There’s also a boost to Shiny Staryu and Shiny Tirtouga rates, and increased Candy bonuses for well-timed throws.

In addition, you’ll find a variety of water-types showing up in the wild, including Wimpod, Buizel, and Barboach, while one-star and three-star raids feature water heavyweights like Azumarill and Gyarados. And to stock up for this event, you can purchase the Water Festival Ultra Box from the Pokémon Go Web Store, which willbe  filled with loads of goodies.
