The summer Olympics were all very impressive, with that Insane Dolt chap breaking the sound barrier and that Michael Fish bloke winning all the swimming competitions without taking a breath. Or something. But everyone knows that winter events are where it's truly at.

From hurtling down an icy tube in the Bobsleigh event to flying through the air like a loon in the ski jump, winter sports are cooler than their summer counterparts in pretty much every respect.

Which is why we're thrilled to announce the release of a special high score version of Playman Winter Games, called Playman Winter Games: Tournament Edition. The Playman series has been released in its various guises to widespread acclaim, thanks to its intuitive reaction-based gameplay and razor sharp presentation. Playman Summer Games 3 was released to much fanfare and critical acclaim earlier in the year, earning a rare 10 out of 10 from Pocket Gamer. We called it "the best multi-event sports game on mobile".

Playman Winter Games: Tournament Edition carries on that strong heritage, featuring four thrilling winter events in glorious 3D (on selected handsets). Biathlon will require all your cross-country and shooting skills, while the Slalom event is a thrilling race to the finish line. If that doesn't get your heart racing, two rounds of vertiginous Ski Jumping should do the trick, followed by everyone's favourite winter event: the Bobsleigh.

Without doubt the icing on this particularly frosty cake is the ability to upload your high scores, thus allowing you to compete with other Playmen and women online.
