Plants Vs Zombies: Replanted brings the iconic mobile hit back with a new remaster coming soon
Now, where's that mobile?

- Plants Vs Zombies is coming back with a new remastered version
- The original is getting a fresh coat of HD paint and new content with PvZ: Replanted
- Enjoy local co-op and PvP modes, but don't hold your breath for mobile yet
Plants Vs Zombies. A name up there with Clash of Clans, Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride and other definers of mobile. Probably even one you can point to when the old chestnut of 'not real gaming' comes up. Now, get ready to head back to 2009 with the new Plants Vs Zombies: Replanted!
Yes, it's not a joke, not an imaginary story, the iconic tower defence classic is coming back to mobile with a brand-new remaster. Upscaled HD graphics, local co-op, PvP modes and a whole compost heap's worth of new additions await you when it arrives on October 23rd.
You'll even be able to test your Brainz with the new Cloudy Day Mode. If you think you've mastered PvZ already, then Cloudy Day Mode will offer limited sunlight and planting abilities for an even more hardcore challenge.

Planters
There's also the return of classic minigames, and pretty much everything you'd expect from PvZ itself. That's on top of a huge treasure trove archive of Plants vs Zombies content for you to peruse that offers an insight into how PopCap Studios became such an icon of mobile gaming. The only possible wrinkle here is that it isn't clear whether PvZ: Replanted is set to receive a wide-scale mobile release. I know, sacrilege! But so far, the only platforms it seems to be arriving on (outside of obvious console-only storefronts and PC) are the EA App and Epic Games Store, which we know to be on mobile.
If it's the case that EA is restricting this sort of major new remaster to third-party storefronts, that, in itself, is big news. But if we don't have a set release for a mobile version of PvZ Replanted, then it does cloud up our otherwise sunny day.
Either way, there's a while to go before we get more info, so why not check out our list of the top five new mobile games to try this week in the meantime?
