What is the PG People’s Choice Award?
The PG People’s Choice is a key category within the PG Mobile Games Awards, run by our mobile games industry-focused sibling site, PocketGamer.biz, specifically designed to give you, the players, the opportunity to nominate and vote for your favourite mobile gaming experience of the past year.
Got it. So what are the PG Mobile Games Awards?
Not to be confused with the Pocket Gamer Awards, the Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards recognise the work of the top games companies in the industry between June 2025 and May 2026. This year they take place on Tuesday, August 25th.
The awards’ 21 categories represent teams spanning the whole industry, from the games developers and publishers to the tools companies, service providers, support agencies, investors and recruiters that all make this sector the largest and most pervasive in gaming.
So where do I vote for my favourite game?
Right here. Once we got through the nomination phase, and worked out the finalists, voting will go live.
Is there a deadline for nominations?
There is indeed: midnight on Monday, June 29th.
And what about the voting bit?
The 'voting bit' will open for the whole of July, closing at midnight on July 31st. (Please note: The voting system may sometimes allow submissions past the deadline but these are not counted.)
When will the People’s Choice winner be announced?
We revealed the Pocket Gamer People’s Choice award during the PG Mobile Games Awards 2026 ceremony in Cologne, on Tuesday, August 25th.
